Hi,
I am a newbie here so I would like to introduce myself.Anyway Last wednesday morning I fell from a machine at work approx 15 Ft,I was knocked unconcious for how long I dont know, but approx10-15 mins when someone was standing over me calling my name i was drifting in and out of conciousness until paramedics arrived. For precautionary reasons I was strapped up with a neck brace and stretcher and took to A&E. I was seen by a doctor who checked me over and then sent for x-rays. Thankfully all was clear but still couldnt move freely as my neck r/h side mid back and lower back all across the bottom was very sore, i couldnt't even bend over to touch my toes or twist also neck was very stiff.
The next few days were awful about 5 hrs sleep in 96 Hrs I cannot get comfortable in whatever position I sit. Still I have a stiff neck and pain mainly to lower back, sometimes also getting pins and needles every so often. I have also had a lot of headaches and have been taking co-codamol 500mg since the fall.
Today the company representatives came and visited, they commented on how lucky I was not to have had serious damage. They also advised me to put a claim in against the company which I found rather strange. They have also told me to make sure I am well enough to get back to work.
As for the claim im in a little predicament as about 8 years ago I had an accident at an old workplace similar to what has happened this time around, but not as high as my current fall. Also had backpain with that fall. If I was to claim will they go back as far as this accident and will it go against a claim this time?
Please Help.
